Cooperative Telephone Exchange Managed WiFi Service

Updated: Jun 21, 2022

Managed Wi-Fi is a service which takes the hassles out of Wi-Fi troubleshooting in exchange for a small monthly fee. You will no longer need to buy equipment only to have to replace it when trouble arises or the technology changes. Our service includes the use of our equipment. Note that you don’t own any hardware as part of this service. The service includes coverage where customers want it and the ability for us to undertake remote support by viewing the Wi-Fi equipment and wireless connected devices. Once you sign up for Managed Wi-Fi, Cooperative Telephone Exchange will handle a variety of Wi-Fi tasks for you at no additional charge:

  • Installation of a new router

  • Selection of the best router location in your home for optimal coverage and signal strength

  • Setup of your Wi-Fi security password to avoid others using your Wi-Fi network without your permission

  • Help educate the connection of your devices — such as laptops, tablets, phones, and printer — to the Wi-Fi network

  • In-home troubleshooting should the Wi-Fi service stop working or function poorly

  • Repair or replacement of the Wi-Fi router when needed

  • Provide phone-based Tech Support during normal business hours.

  • Hardware replacement included as part of service. This warranty requires that we receive equipment back in exchange for deploying replacement hardware. Equipment damaged through customer negligence is not covered.

· Managed Wi-Fi is a service that provides Wi-Fi coverage throughout a customer’s home. Most trouble can be resolved remotely, oftentimes without the need for customer involvement. For trouble issues that arise that require customer interaction to resolve, Cooperative Telephone Exchange will provide remote Managed Wi-Fi support via an appointment during regular business hours. Regular system maintenance is provided and verification of system updates and/or firmware. Should the wireless router become inoperable during service, the equipment will be replaced at no cost to the subscriber after undertaking necessary troubleshooting steps. Because the system can be managed remotely, subscribers are able to pick up replacement equipment without a technician visiting your home.

· No service call charges for internet customer troubles that are not resolved by phone when a technician visits the home during normal business hours Monday-Friday for Wi-Fi related issues. Charges may apply if the customer internet problems are not related to Wi-Fi service. Additional equipment and charges will be assessed and discussed if needed to optimize the Wi-Fi experience.
